The missing remains of a Tasmanian tiger, believed to be the world’s last, have been found. The remains that could not be found after being scattered in various places for the last 85 years have now been found in the cupboards of an Australian museum.
In 1936, the tiger died at Hobart Zoo and its body was donated to a local museum. But no one knew what happened to its skeleton and skin afterwards. Despite checking in many places, it could not be found. And so it remained a mystery.
This was because the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery had lost track of the remains. Until now, it was thought that someone might have dumped it somewhere. But they were all inside the museum. But it was just that it was not protected properly so as not to perish.

But researcher Robert Paddle and museum curators were examining the collections at the Tasmanian Museum when they found the tiger’s remains inside a cupboard. It was discovered that the remains of the Tasmanian tiger, which had not been found in the last 85 years despite the search, were conducted later. It was found in a cupboard in the education department of the museum.
The skin and skeleton found in the remains are now on display at a museum in Hobart. Tasmanian tiger populations throughout Australia have been declining due to human interference. Eventually it was left only on the island of Tasmania, where it was eventually hunted.
