Five months after Maria Obsiannikova embarrassed Russia when she broke into the broadcast of the first channel with a sign ‘Enough of the war’, the fired editor is in trouble again.

A fine of 40 thousand Russian rubles, equal to about 2,000 new shekels, was imposed on the former editor after this week she published a series of posts against the war in Ukraine.

According to her lawyer, Obsianikova’s posts angered the Russian regime, which resulted in another arrest that ended with the fine in question.

The documentation from the hack was broadcast a few months ago

The prosecution in Russia claimed that Obsiannikova dishonored the army of the Russian Federation and therefore it was decided to impose the fine on her. At the same time, they said that the possibility of opening a criminal case is not ruled out.

It should be noted that according to the fake news law that was passed in Russia about six months ago, anyone who starts the war in Ukraine with a phrase other than ‘special operation’ is liable to a fine of up to 15 years in prison – depending on the number of violations of the law and according to the decision of the Russian court.
