The VI Congress of the European Olympic Academy was held in Athens, the capital of Greece.
As the National Olympic Committee told İdman.biz, Azerbaijan was represented at the five-day congress by the vice-president of the National Olympic Academy Farid Mansurov.
At the congress, the promising opportunities of the Olympic movement after the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games, which took place in the French capital of Paris, were discussed. The event was attended by the President of the European Olympic Committee Spyros Kapralos, the Vice President of the Hellenic Olympic Academy Ilias Dalanias, the President of the International Olympic Academy Isidoros Kouvelos and the President of the European Olympic Academy Manfred Lemmer.
Then there were presentations on the topics “The Olympic program as part of traditions and changes”, “Current situation and prospects”, “The legacy of Paris 2024 and a message to the world”, “Joint cooperation between universities and the National Olympic Academy”.
It should be noted that on the last working day of the congress, the award ceremony of the European Olympic Academy took place.
