Mr. Dhoulkamal recalled, on this occasion, that the Union of the Comoros was the first country to open a consulate in Laâyoune, stressing that “when we visit the region and look at the level of development achieved under the impulse of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, we can only encourage and continue to call on the world to support this pragmatic vision, which consists of implementing this solution which is the only one to allow peace and stability in the region.
He also welcomed the close and fruitful relations that the two countries have maintained for a century, noting that the Union of the Comoros will continue to work together with the Kingdom of Morocco in order to raise the partnership to a new level. superior.
The head of Comorian diplomacy recalled, in this regard, the various conventions signed in the fields of education, new technologies and energies, saluting Morocco for having been one of the great promoters and sponsors of the “Comoros” plan emerging”.
Regarding the High Level Ministerial Conference on middle-income countries, the minister highlighted Morocco’s leadership which will allow “to speak with one voice so that global finance and governance evolve in order to offer us solutions that take into account our vulnerabilities.
He noted, in this sense, that this Conference allowed middle-income countries to form a group which “will defend common solutions to environmental vulnerabilities and to the exogenous and endogenous crises which strike these countries”.
The High-Level Ministerial Conference on Middle-Income Countries is being held Monday and Tuesday in Rabat, with the participation of 32 countries, many of them represented at ministerial level, and 23 United Nations development agencies and other international and regional institutions. .
Placed under the theme “Solution to the development challenges of Middle-Income Countries in a changing world”, this high-level Ministerial Conference is part of the Presidency of the Kingdom of Morocco of the Group of Friends of Middle-Income Countries within the framework of the United Nations, which he has held since 2023, and in the continuity of his advocacy in favor of the interests of developing countries, under the far-sighted vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of an active and united.
