The municipal councilors in Rouen will vote on the resignation of the chairman of the Municipal Council (ObS) Ismail Osman, who a few days ago became the leader of the list of candidates for people’s representatives of the “DPS – New Beginning” in the Second Multi-mandate electoral district-Burgas, BTA reported.
The release of Osman from the post is known from the draft agenda of the 14th meeting of the Council of Ministers, published on the official website of the Municipality of Rouen. There, in point 2, it is written that the election of a new chairman of the Council of Ministers will also take place.
The 14th meeting was convened for the second time after it was adjourned on September 20 after two failed attempts to gather a quorum.
At the first attempt to start the meeting, ten municipal councilors out of a total of 29 registered in the hall – six from the “Movement for Rights and Freedoms”, three from GERB and one from the “Together for a Strong Municipality” coalition. A quorum was not gathered in the second attempt as well. At the time, the chairman of the OBS, Ismail Osman, said that the remaining 19 municipal councilors were in a meeting with the mayor of the Rouen municipality, Ahmed Mehmed, where they were discussing a potential request for his resignation.
