Responsibilities of various ministries and departments have been redistributed among the members of the interim government.

This information was informed in a notification of the Cabinet Department on Tuesday (August 27).

According to the latest decision, the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus has got the responsibility of 6 ministries or departments. These are-1. Cabinet Division; 2. Ministry of Defence; 3. Department of Armed Forces; 4. Ministry of Food; 5. Ministry of Public Administration; 6. Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed received the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology.

Advisor Hasan Arif has received the Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Rural Development and Cooperatives, Ministry of Lands.

Adviser Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain has received the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Ministry of Shipping.

Advisor Sharmin S. Murshid has received the Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs.

By order of the President, Cabinet Secretary. Mahbub Hossain issued this notification.

It should be noted that after the departure of the Sheikh Hasina government in the face of the student movement, on August 8 Dr. An interim government was formed with Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser. The number of members of this government including the chief advisor was 17 at first. Later 4 more advisors were added. Now the total number of advisers is 21. Besides, a Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser has been appointed.
