176 grids filled, three quarters of them flawless: our big summer competition gives its verdict.
We raise the pens! After a week of intense correction, it is time to hand in the papers. We invited you to (re)discover twelve redacted headlines to, in turn, create your own Libération front page. 176 of them came back filled. The results are good: 75% of the headlines are flawless (who said the level was falling?)
For symmetry, I suggested starting the grid with FINALLY THE ADVENTURE (emblematic of the rebirth of Libé) and ending it with a WOW, beneficial after the effort accomplished. Among them, two characters were sources of errors. AND first of all, to whom Libé awarded the man of the year award in 1982. It’s not easy to recognize his face half-hidden behind a door. The other is KYLIAN Mbappé, immortalized in the middle of a volley on a cover inspired by The Clash.
Small trap in 135: it was indeed a question of Michael CERA who was on screen in Barbie. He should not be confused with the wrestler John CENA, also present in the film, but in the role of Ken Mermaid. In the same area, for some of you, the 134 made PSCHITT. It’s about the paronyms (APLANIR /APLATIR), the Swedish university (KTH) and the photographic principle (STENOPES) which may have misled some.
