The Revolutionary Guards reported the arrest of foreign nationals including a British diplomat, the British claim that this is a lie

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards arrested several foreigners, including a British envoy to Tehran, the husband of Austria’s cultural attaché in the country and a professor at a Polish university who visited Iran as a tourist.

The group was arrested for alleged espionage, such as taking soil samples from restricted areas.

The “spies” allegedly took soil samples in the central desert of Iran, where Revolutionary Guards aerial and space missile drills were conducted. The Iranians claimed that the captured foreigners “apologized for their actions” and would be deported from the country.

The British Foreign Office said in a statement that it was a “complete lie”.
