Twitter’s new rules are amplifying the voices of the radical right on the platform.

With the paid stamps system, the concentration of verified users in this ideological spectrum jumped from 0.7% to 15.4%, that is, a growth of more than 20 times.

These accounts paid for the stamp or obtained it through non-transparent redistribution by Elon Musk’s company.

Specifically among the influencers of the political debate in Brazil, the stamped profiles in this far-right group now represent 15.5% of the total verified – before they were just 5.9%.

On the other hand, the left and the center had greater relevance in the network and lose verified profiles under this new guideline, both due to the little interest in the payment plan and the withdrawal of old labels.
