Indeed, the world’s leading job site, reported a nearly 250% increase in generative AI-related job posts from July 2021 to July 2023. LinkedIn, owned by Microsoft and OpenAI’s primary investment backer, has observed a continuous growth in member searches related to generative AI terms since November 2022. Victoria Papalian, General Manager of Udacity’s consumer division, reported a 33% increase in interest for AI-based courses over the past year. For aspiring AI professionals, Lilani recommends starting with computer science classes to build a foundation in programming languages. Independent methods of education, such as YouTube videos and AI-focused blogs, are also becoming popular in the workforce.
