The before and after is striking. At the start of the video, we see a photo of a face marked by acne, then soon the same face appears with impeccable skin. It only took a few days for this TikTok post from @caggiebaby to reach 2 million views. The Canadian influencer describes the transformation of her epidermis after six months of daily use of the CurrentBody LED mask. It couldn’t be more convincing. This same object has already benefited from enormous buzz after its appearance in the series Emily in Paris, so much so that even the brand, already favored by celebrities, was surprised. “The scale, global in scope, has been completely crazy,” observe Laurence Newman, PDG de CurrentBody.

Today, to take care of your skin, cosmetic products are no longer enough; we rely on high-tech tools, and on LED masks in particular. When the French brand Nooance launched its product in December 2023, the launch ended in a stock shortage after just six hours. While these devices promise above all an anti-aging effect and cost several hundred euros, young people do not hesitate to invest.

“The average age of our clients is 30 years old. From the age of 24, many use it to reduce imperfections and prevent wrinkles. explains Carole Amar, the founder of Nooance. Inspired by the techniques practiced by aesthetic doctors, which new generations do not hesitate to consult, these treatments are a way of bringing a little medical expertise home.

“To ensure a notable result, specifies Henri du Masle, general manager of myBlend, the skin must be at the right distance from the light source. This is why we created a mask that is not flat, but which fits the shapes of the face and neck. We developed it with a start-up that merged a thousand physiognomies in order to find the right shape. For a launch in Asia, we would have to work on another version because the morphology is different. »
