At the February 3 session of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the legislative package “On Amendments and Amendments to the RA Law “On Motor Transport” and “On Amendments to the Code “On Administrative Offenses”” was discussed in the first reading.
According to Armen Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, with the current legal regulations, problems arise in connection with the fulfillment of contractual obligations for the provision of traffic management services by the organizations that carry out regular passenger transportation.
It is proposed to define the concept of “route sheet”, on which the appropriate marking made by the authorized organization of the authority allocating the right to service the route will enable to ensure the proper quality of the routing services.
The law also defines the concept of “electronic traffic management service”, the introduction of which will enable organizing the transportation process and carrying out control through a unified electronic information system.
The legislative proposal received a positive conclusion from the committee. The committee will propose to the NA council to organize the second reading of the question within 24 hours after the first reading.
