Dakhla – The Royal Atlantic Initiative constitutes a “formidable” opportunity to ensure the integration of African countries, said, Friday in Dakhla, the former Malian Prime Minister, Moussa Mara.
The initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI constitutes a tremendous opportunity for these Sahel countries that do not have access to the sea, he stressed in a statement to MAP on the sidelines of his participation in the 7th edition of the “Morocco Today Forum” (MTF), recalling that his country, Mali, is concerned by this Initiative. “The Sahel countries, rich in mineral resources and agricultural potential, need maritime outlets and the fact that Morocco is making its port, airport, rail and road potential available to these countries is a tremendous opportunity,” said the former Malian Prime Minister. He also stressed the importance of making this Initiative a reality by carrying out infrastructure and projects on mobility and the free movement of populations. “We need an integrated Africa, an Africa that turns towards itself and enriches itself collectively,” he concluded.
