Jamaat-e-Islami vice-emir Liaquat Baloch said in a press conference that electricity is very expensive and petrol can be cheaper for the people. The government has made petrol unusable through taxes. Instead of blackmailing each other.

Liaquat Baloch said that there will be a shutter down strike in the whole country on August 28. The decision of the strike is the people’s own decision. Community and all stakeholders have been contacted and all have supported the nationwide strike, if the government tries to stop this strike, the government will plunge the country into anarchy.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami held a sit-in for 14 days, on this occasion there were discussions, a meeting was held and the ministers signed it and accepted it in the sit-in. It was decided in the agreement that the prices of electricity and petrol should be set at the actual price, the restrictions on traders and exporters will be removed.

He further said that it will be better for the people if they unite and shut down the shutters and come on one platform. If necessary, a long march will be made from the entire country towards Islamabad. The government should implement the agreement reached after the sit-in.
