The Russian military from the CSTO flew from Alma-Ata to the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported, RIA Novosti reports.

The military units also loaded military equipment onto the planes.

On January 15, the seventh plane with Russian peacekeepers arrived in Russia, the ministry reported on Facebook. The paratroopers were given a welcoming ceremony with musical numbers from the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Forces. The command thanked the military for their professionalism.

CSTO peacekeeping forces from three countries left Kazakhstan

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev asked the CSTO for help on January 5 amid protests and unrest. On January 11, he announced the completion of the mission of peacekeepers who were guarding strategic facilities.
