Data has appeared on the amount of lost Russian equipment, according to eyewitness logs.
Since October 10, when active operations began on the Avdiivka bridgehead, the Russians have lost 411 units of equipment. Meanwhile, Ukraine is only 30.
On Channel 24, military expert, instructor pilot and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan assessed the enemy’s losses.

“Why is there another point in maintaining such a bridgehead? These are testing grounds for the disposal of Russian military potential, and at very good rates. Such odds are impossible with our offensive,” emphasized Roman Svitan.
He noted that in areas such as Avdievka, the main task must be accomplished – to destroy the enemy army. After all, for some reason, sometimes political or informational, the enemy falls into a “trap” and cannot get out.
“That is, now they will fight in Avdeevka until the last Russian, until the last Russian breaks his forehead on our line,” explained the military expert.
This is approximately how combat operations should be carried out. Especially in winter, when it is very difficult to move. The Ukrainian Armed Forces now have several bridgeheads. This is Avdeevka, the Bakhmut area, the Kupyansk and Kremennaya areas.
“It will rain again soon. They will “bury” those 400 “boxes” that we brought in the Avdeevka area. They will be “buried” in the Donetsk black soil. They are mired to the very top,” said Svitan.

Roman Svitan noted that all that remained of the elite of the Russian landing force were hats with ear flaps and vests. Those partially mobilized or contract soldiers who are now coming in are very far from professional.
“To train an intelligent paratrooper, it takes 4–5 years. Everyone is saying that in 2–3 months there will be a “big” landing. No, it will be “cannon fodder,” the military expert explained.
Real landings are trained in serious military schools with at least a year of combat coordination. At least until 5 years old. Therefore, what the Russians collected, placed, and put vests on them is not a landing at all.
According to a military expert, the first elite trained Russian units were destroyed back in 2014. The first regiments of the Pskov landing were liquidated by Tochka-U near Donetsk when they entered.
