Patients treated for COVID-19 for more than seven days do not need to retake the PCR test. This is stated in the decision of Rospotrebnadzor, published on the Internet portal of legal information.

“The discharge of patients for employment (training) … is carried out without a laboratory examination for COVID-19, if the treatment time is seven or more days,” the document says.

At the same time, it is reported that if the treatment period for an infected person is less than seven days, then a negative test is still required when the sick leave is closed. This document also cancels quarantine for those who have been in contact with patients with COVID-19. The ordinance comes into force on Sunday, February 6.

Also today, the Ministry of Health reported that Russians with symptoms of SARS will be able to open sick leave for seven days after a remote consultation with a doctor without taking a PCR test. Corresponding changes have been made to the temporary procedure for organizing medical care during the spread of the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation said, which will be valid until March 15.
