Rabota.ru: Russians called Moscow and St. Petersburg the best cities for a career
The top five most promising cities for building a career include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Sochi. More than half of Russians in 2022 are ready to move for work

Most Russians consider Moscow (76%) and St. Petersburg (52%) the best cities for a successful career, according to a survey by the Rabota.ru service (available from RBC).
The top ten most promising cities also included:
- Yekaterinburg (32%);
- Kazan (24%);
- Sochi (18%);
- Krasnodar (19%);
- Novosibirsk (14%);
- Kaliningrad (12%);
- Vladivostok (11%);
- Tyumen (10%).
21% of respondents chose the “Other” option. Here, respondents most often chose other large cities in Russia, as well as cities in Europe and the USA, but none of the options scored 10% of the votes.
According to the results of a similar study conducted last year, Krasnodar entered the top three, followed by Sochi. This year Yekaterinburg and Kazan overtook them. The authors of the study pointed to the high rates of recovery of labor markets in these cities. The Sverdlovsk region and Tatarstan, according to the results of the past year, were among the ten regions with the largest number of vacancies opened during the year, according to data from Rabota.ru.
