CIUDAD.-

After 16 years of waiting, the Pedro de Lizarzaburu market (San Francisco) has undergone a complete repowering of its electrical system. This project included the complete replacement of the 49 lamps, the installation of more than 120 LED lights in the internal part and the placement of 14 reflectors around the perimeter of the exterior.

A plan that was made possible through a collaboration agreement between the Instituto Superior Universitario Carlos Cisneros and the Municipality of Riobamba.

According to the agreement, the municipality was responsible for supplying all the necessary electrical materials, while the educational entity provided the labor, with the valuable participation of students from the Electromechanical program.

The upgrading of the market’s electrical system improves the infrastructure and transforms this space into a safer, more comfortable and healthier place for merchants and customers.

The lighting system upgrade contributes significantly to the market’s safety, reducing the risk of accidents and improving visibility in all areas. “We are improving our markets by transforming them into safe, comfortable and healthy spaces,” said Mayor John Vinueza.

In addition to the lighting improvements, this project also provides practical experience for students of the Electromechanics program at the Instituto Superior Universitario Carlos Cisneros. Participating in a project of this magnitude allows them to apply their knowledge in a real-life environment, better preparing them for their future professional careers.
