One of the most common questions is about the schools with more graduates who pass the National Examination for Applicants for Medical Residency (ENARM). That is why we are going to carry out an analysis of the most recent edition below.
In the first instance, when talking about general averages, the competition is divided into two private options. Both the Universidad Panamericana and the Tecnológico de Monterrey are the ones who dominate the test. Both have become the absolute leaders.

According to official information there was a clear and broad winner. It’s about the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It is not really a surprise because historically it is the school with the most medical students in the country and the one that brings in the most applicants in each edition.
In last year’s edition, it contributed 1,911 supporters, of which 1,106 obtained a place to become residents. With this, it was located well above the second position that was for the Autonomous University of Sinaloa which managed to get 765 of its graduates to pass the exam.
While the third step was for the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla with 722 and then the FES Iztacala of the UNAM with 685. While to complete the top 5 is the Autonomous University of Guadalajara con 661.
Differences with ENARM 2021
For its part, when comparing what happened in the 2021 ENARM, several differences can be seen. In the first instance the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon He had a setback because he went from second national place to seventh.
With respect to Autonomous University of Guadalajara a decrease was also observed, although it was not as noticeable. From fourth national place he went to fifth. The difference was that it dropped from 725 to 661 graduates who passed the test.
Something quite similar happened with the Higher School of Medicine of the IPN because it dropped from fifth position to eighth nationally.
On the other hand, some schools significantly increased their level. Such was the case of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa because in ENARM 2022 it was placed in the second position among those with the most graduates with a total of 765.
It should also be noted the performance of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla, the University of Guadalajara, the Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo and the Autonomous University of Chiapas. All of them appear within the first 10 positions of the last edition of the ENARM in the category of more graduates who became residents.
