The second forum for the pioneers of the Scouting movement in the southern region was held in the city of Wadan, where the Wadan Scouts and Guides Regiment was hosted by the Al-Jufra Scouts Commission under the slogan (Get to know each other, befriend each other, and love each other).
The leaders of the commissariats, scout regiments, and scout pioneers in Sebha, Wadi Al-Shati, Wadi Al-Hayat, and Al-Jufra participated in the forum’s activities, according to the Libyan News Agency.
The topics of the forum focused on cooperation and communication between all members of the Scouting movement in the regions of the South, and the participants discussed the conditions of the commissariats and regiments in the cities and regions of the South and how to activate their pioneering role in all volunteer and humanitarian work, in a way that contributes to serving society in all fields.
The forum witnessed an expanded dialogue session on the role of pioneers in the scouting movement and their effective and positive contribution to building the foundations of society, as well as a discussion of the status of the pioneer field in the commissariats in the southern region. The forum’s program included field visits to historical and archaeological tourist attractions and typical palm plantations in the cities of Waddan, Houn, and Sukna, such as Tuza Boudan Castle, Al-Qasr Castle in Sukna, the old city of Bahun, and other landmarks, as well as organizing various cultural and poetic evenings.
