With 18.72% in the afternoon, participation in the second round of early legislative elections in Hauts-de-Seine is on the same trend as in the first round. A week ago, it stood at 18.47%. Voters are mobilizing more than in 2022 from two years ago at the same time, it is 16.64%. At the national level, participation currently stands at 26.63%.
Access from 8 am, the department’s 1,029 polling stations will remain open until 8 pm. Voters from nine out of thirteen regions were also invited to vote since the four outgoing deputies were re-elected in the first election on June 30. Elsa Faucillon (PCF-NFP), Philippe Juvin (LR), Pierre Cazeneuve (Ensemble) and Aurélien Saintoul (LFI-NFP) actually received more than 50% of the votes cast, with a record participation of 72.5% on all Hauts. -de-Seine.
Among the 19 candidates still running, there are seven incumbents: five from the presidential camp and two NFP-Les Écologists. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal voted in Vanves this morning. Candidate in the 10th district of Hauts-de-Seine, he came first in the first round with 43.85% of the votes, against 35.53% for Cécile Soublet, candidate of the New Popular Front.
Without a representative, the 9th (Boulogne) and 12th constituency (Châtillon, Clamart, Le Plessis-Robinson, Fontenay-aux-Roses) will not have a new deputy to represent them in the National Assembly. In the remaining regions, there are eight left-right duels and only one triangular in Neuilly-Puteaux. Without any qualified RN candidates, the department is isolated.
