A second shell exploded in the Rostov region near the border with Ukraine

The second shell exploded on the territory of the Rostov region near the border with Ukraine, RIA Novosti, TASS and Interfax report, citing sources.

According to them, the explosion occurred in the Tarasovsky district. The interlocutors of the agencies specified that it was ammunition from the Grad multiple launch rocket system. “This is a Soviet-era Grad, 120 millimeters, incendiary,” a source told RIA Novosti.

RBC asked for a comment to the department of information and public relations of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and sent a request to the regional department of the UK.

The first shell explosion occurred at 4:00 Moscow time, 300 meters from one of the houses in the village of Mityakinskaya. There were no casualties or destruction. Sources of TASS and RIA Novosti reported that the second explosion occurred in the same area.

The village of Mityakinskaya is located one kilometer from the Russian-Ukrainian border.
