The Security Arrangements Committee reported that a number of headquarters had been handed over to its affiliated agencies after some of the agencies and individuals had left them.
The Ministry of Interior said that yesterday, Monday, the headquarters of the “Aman Bank building, Al-Riqata, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Islamic Call” were handed over to their affiliated bodies, under the direct supervision of the Minister of Interior, Head of the Supreme Committee for Security Arrangements, Imad Trabelsi.
The Ministry of Interior also indicated that the General Electricity Company building, the Roads and Bridges Authority building, the Real Estate Registry Authority building, the Libyan Oil Company building, and the former Capital Channel building in the Qarji area had been handed over, as they were received by the committee assigned by the 111th Brigade, the General Security Service, and the security centers.
Last Saturday, the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, issued a decision to form a supreme committee for security arrangements headed by the Minister of Interior and including a number of military leaders.
According to Article 2 of the decision, the committee shall supervise the withdrawal and return of all agencies and brigades to their official military headquarters.
The committee is also responsible for listing all buildings, public headquarters, service and production sites controlled and not under the protection of the Ministry of Interior and receiving them immediately, in addition to listing private properties controlled by parties not affiliated with the Ministry of Interior and handing them over to their owners.
The decision stipulated the evacuation of all streets, squares and checkpoints from any armed formations or manifestations not affiliated with the Ministry of Interior.
