In Turin on the day of the semifinals: at 2 pm the intruder Ruud faces Medvedev who has beaten Sinner. At 9 pm Djokovic against Zverev who defeated him in the Finals in 2018

In Turin on the day of the semi-finals of the ATP Finals:
there is no longer Jannik Sinner but there are the top three players in the ranking. The intruder Casper Ruud, current number 8, who on Friday beat Rublev in the play-off for second place in the group behind Djokovic and earned the right to face Daniil Medvedev in the first semifinal, at 2 pm: two precedents, both in favor of the Russian, who beat the Norwegian both in the 2020 ATP Cup and in Mallorca this year.

Medvedev plays as reigning champion and, in case of victory, he would wait for the winner of the noble semifinal of PalaAlpitour, that of 21: on the one hand Novak Djokovic, on the other Alexander Zverev, who won his first and only Finals against the Serbian in 2018. Djokovic has instead won five: the first in Shanghai in 2008, then four in London in a row between 2012 and 2015.

Djokovic and Zverev have met on ten occasions: the world number one leads 7-3, with the German who achieved two of his three wins in the final (in addition to the 2018 Finals, also Rome 2017), to which is added the semifinal Olympic Games in Tokyo where Zverev then won the gold medal. The match between Medvedev and Ruud will be broadcast on Sky Sport Uno and Sky Sport Tennis; the challenge between Djokovic and Zverev, on the other hand, will also be broadcast on Rai2 as well as on Sky.
