Sources from the Ministry of Development, Articulation of the Territory and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía explain to Europa Press that, from this coming Monday, September 12, users of these two cards will be able to benefit from the advantages of the card validation and payment system contacless that allows you to buy or recharge a transport ticket in the vending machines and that “guarantees the application of the best possible rate and allows registered users to make a single payment at the end of the month”.
“Aware of the improvement in the user experience that the possibility of validating with a bank card without having to buy or top up a transport card entails for metropolitan travelers, Metro de Sevilla, attached to the Public Works Agency, has carried out the last year the necessary adaptations of the system, so that a greater number of visitors and tourists use public transport in the capital of Seville and can benefit from the advantages of Tap & Go”, emphasize the aforementioned sources.
In relation to the launch of this functionality and in line with the “Discover and Diners Club brand positioning strategy in Spain, a joint brand communication campaign has been developed that invites visitors and tourists to explore and enjoy Seville using of the metropolitan on their journeys”, a campaign that will be operational for a month.
