Time.news – Ever Given, the container ship that blocked the Suez Canal for 6 days last March, has arrived in the port of Rotterdam. This was reported by the airport authorities.

The unloading operations of the 18,300 containers on board will last until August 3, after which the Ever Given will sail to Felixstowe, England.

The 400-meter-long ship left Egypt on July 13, six days after being released from seizure. The Suez Canal authorities had blocked the ship for 107 days pending settlement negotiations with the Japanese owner, Shoei Kisen KK.

The parties, according to press sources, would eventually agree on the sum of 550 million dollars, just over half of the initial request from Cairo.
