This weekend was marked by the defeat of Red Star against Avranches (1-2) in National, the victory of Créteil against FC 93 Bobigny (2-1), which lost its place as leader in group B of National 2 as well as the cards of Racing in Vannes (0-5) and the women of Fleury against Rodez (6-0).

In a great atmosphere at the Duvauchelle stadium, Créteil won the derby at the top of group B of National 2 against FC 93 Bobigny (2-1). Les Cristoliens controlled the game for almost 70 minutes, leading 2-0 thanks to Clément Jolibois (20th) and Daouda Gueye (52nd) and were able to resist the push from Bobigny after the 15th goal of the season scored by Farid Beziouen ( 2-1, 73rd), passed through Créteil. In the standings, Créteil is relaunching in the race for the climb five points behind Fleury, winner of Reims (2-0) and who regains his place as leader at the expense of FC Bobigny, now 3rd. But the Ile-de-France trio will also have to be wary of Épinal, which is coming back very strongly (2nd, one point behind Fleury).

There is a real group, I have no doubt about its mentality, it works. Everyone responded present against Bobigny, who is in the game, the best team in the group. The perf: Racing force 5 in Vannes
Racing was marking time at the start of 2023 with 4 points out of 12 in group A of National 2. But the best attack of the four groups of National 2, reacted thunderously by winning Saturday at Vannes (0-5 ) with five different scorers: Camara (20th), Vula Lamb (29th), Spurio (44th), Traoré (53rd), Baboula (61st). In the standings, Racing regained two points on Rouen, hanging on to Granville (1-1). Guillaume Norbert’s team is 2nd, three points behind Rouen.

With 4 points out of 12 taken in the last four games, the Red Star, beaten Friday by Avranches at Bauer (1-2) during the 22nd day of National, continues to lose ground in the race to climb. If he remains 3rd, he is now five points behind the leader Martigues, where he will go on March 6 in a staggered match the next day, and four on Versailles which receives Concarneau this Monday March 27.
“We lose at Villefranche, we lose against Avranches… That’s a lot for a team that claims to play at the top of the table. To win a match, you have to play 90 minutes and not 45 minutes as we did. With the results of the evening, we are left behind. It shows that there is enormous pressure on us, less on the others. If you want to play at the top of the table, you have to be able to assume this status. We have a huge challenge in Martigues, but if we don’t show more personality, it will be difficult to obtain a result there, ”says Habib Beye.
The Red Star coach also made a form of mea culpa and sent a message to the supporters: “I also have to question myself about my choices. There are choices that have not been good. I open up the team to give everyone perspective. But I realize that sometimes those who are given opportunities don’t take them. There was also a recurrence of messages vis-à-vis the president and management that I do not like. The support from the fans is enormous, they are free to protest but there are times to do so. The player of the weekend: Clara Mateo (Paris FC)
A great performance to erase her frustration with the French women’s team where she was, curiously, never used by Corinne Deacon, during the three matches of the recent Tournoi de France. Clara Mateo (19 selections) had however become a part of the Blue in recent months. But the Paris FC striker has recovered well in the D1 Arkema bath by returning to her Paris FC club. She scored her team’s second goal in Reims (0-3) with a beautiful curling shot. This 8th goal this season puts her in 4th place in the ranking of D1 Arkema scorers.

This is the card of the day in D1 Arkema. Fleury offered his biggest success of the season by passing six goals to Rodez (6-0) thanks to three braces from Rosemonde Kouassi (7th, 50th), Ewelina Kamczyk (25th, 42nd), and Léa Le Garrec ( 67th, 76th). A performance that allows him to become 2nd attack in the championship (35 goals scored like PSG) behind Lyon and to consolidate his 4th place two points behind Paris FC (3rd).
Curiosity: 6 draws in 7 games in National 3
The National 3 Ile-de-France championship is still tight. This weekend, during the 16th day, there was a record of draws: 6 out of the 7 games played. The only team to have won is Brétigny against amateur PSG (1-0). In the standings, it’s still the status quo with a Top 5 grouped into four points. Vitry is one point ahead of Aubervilliers (2nd), three over Ivry (3rd) and four over Montrouge (4th) and Linas-Montlhéry (5th).
