The Simpsons in mourning: who are the Simpsons parting with after 33 years?

Ledesma spent as the musical editor of The Simpsons for no less than 33 years, from its rise in 1989 until he left in 2022 due to health problems. He worked on 735 episodes of the series and documented a very large part of his work on his blog called Simpsons Music 500.

Jake Schaefer, who replaced Ledesma as the show’s music editor last year, said goodbye to him on social media: “Chris Ledesma’s passion for music and ‘The Simpsons’ was an inspiration.
