The foreign ministers of China and Indonesia issued a joint call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. During the meeting in Jakarta, they stressed the need to stabilize the situation and solve the “two states” problem, which they said is key to achieving peace and security.

“The Times Of Israel” writes about this.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stressed that China and Indonesia share a common vision on this issue and are willing to jointly support efforts to achieve a ceasefire. He expressed confidence that China, with its significant influence, can play a key role in preventing the escalation of the conflict.

The ministerial meeting took place as part of a six-day tour during which Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also visited Papua New Guinea and Cambodia. He made accusations against the United States, accusing it of delaying the adoption of ceasefire resolutions at the UN.

Stressing the importance of international cooperation, the ministers expressed disappointment in the actions of the United States, which, despite abstaining from voting, allegedly continues to play a “dual role” in the region.
