The operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation continues. Earlier, three bridges across the Seim River in the Glushkovski district of the region were destroyed or damaged.

For this reason, Russian soldiers had to build pontoon crossings. However, the Ukrainian forces are controlling the Seim River with fire, and the enemy’s crossings are being destroyed, military observer Denisas Popovičius noted on the TV channel FREEDOM. In his opinion, the new crossings that will be built by the Russians will not last long.

The United States is seeing signs that Russia has moved a small part of its military forces to the Kursk region in response to an attack on Ukraine, unian.net writes. This was announced by Major General Pat Ryder, press secretary of the US Department of Defense.

The Pentagon’s intelligence agency believes that Ukraine and Russia do not have sufficient military resources to mount major offensive operations against each other. From this point of view, the war is likely to reach a stalemate.

Russians fleeing the war in the Kursk region can be recruited to support the army and defense. This is indicated in the decree of the acting governor of the Kursk region, Aleksey Smirnov, on temporary residences and workplaces for residents, writes the Kursk newspaper “Gorodskie Izvestiya”.

The destruction of all three bridges over the Seim River in the Kursk region could force Russian troops to repeat the “Kherson scenario.” This was stated by Valerijus Riabychs, a military expert and development director of the information and consulting company Defense Express, in an Espresso comment.
