US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas Greenfield warns that “Russia’s ground forces are advancing towards an invasion that could happen at any time. This is a crucial moment.” Meanwhile, the Russian media announces that Russia has now expelled the US Deputy Ambassador to Moscow.

On the doorstep of NATO

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin addressed NATO in Brussels today, saying Russian forces were on the verge of NATO: “The Russians have transferred hospitals and blood banks to the border. I was a soldier myself not long ago. Doing things like that for no reason, “Austin said. “And obviously you do not do such things if you are going to leave and go home.”

As you may recall, the Russians have claimed in recent days that they have begun to withdraw from the border, but NATO and the United States claim that the situation is reversed, and the Russians in general will increase their forces by 7,000 troops.

Belarus: Nuclear missiles are ready to be deployed here

Austin stressed that “to protect every inch of NATO territory, we must do so. Ukraine has not threatened anyone, and certainly not its neighbor Russia. And yet, that is what Moscow wants us to believe. “

Austin warned of a “fake charity operation we talked about today” in reference to attacks by Ukrainians reported by the Russians. Many in the West fear that this is a pike aimed at justifying the Russians’ invasion of Ukraine.

Despite all this, Austin emphasizes: “No result is clear in advance, a diplomatic solution is still difficult but possible.”

Against this background, the Russian media recently announced that the US Deputy Ambassador to the country, Bart Gorman, has been expelled from the country. The US State Department confirms the reports. Russia has not yet given an official reason for the decision to expel the diplomat.

Mortars in Donetsk

Earlier in the day, mortar shells were reported in Donetsk, which is controlled by pro – Russian separatists. Videos of a playground damaged by the mortars were published on the Internet. Now British Prime Minister Johnson is claiming that this is a fake operation aimed at justifying an invasion.

Belarus also threatened today that it was ready for the Russians to deploy nuclear missiles in response to Western threats. In recent weeks, Russia has been holding joint exercises with Belarus.
