Ahmedabad: Shipped to Mundra port in Gujarat, Rs. Bundles of foreign cigarettes worth 17 crores were seized.
Containers arrived today at Mundra Port, one of the largest ports in Gujarat. The officials of the Revenue Intelligence Division received confidential information that the goods were smuggled illegally. After this, when the officials of the Revenue Intelligence Division opened the containers on suspicion, it was revealed that bundles of foreign cigarettes had been smuggled.

The officials who confiscated these are investigating whether they were imported with proper permission or smuggled. Its value is Rs. 17 crores, officials said.
