Inger Valentine made 249 cups of 3 flavors of rooibos tea, a red herbal tea from a plant native to South Africa, for her world record attempt. He used 3 flavors including Original, Vanilla and Strawberry. Inger, who set out with the goal of making at least 150 cups of tea in an hour to break the already established world record, has set an astonishing world record by making 99 cups more than that.
Inger Valentine had a clear strategy in mind in his bid to somehow break the world record. According to Guinness World Records, he placed 4 tea bags in each tea pot. 4 cups of tea are made with this. Meanwhile, each tea bag must be steeped for at least 2 minutes to qualify as true and quality rooibos tea made by Inger. Inger Valentine is said to have acted quickly to maximize her performance in her world record attempt.
The Guinness World Records organization implemented a no-food-waste policy during this world record attempt. Inger Valentine prepared a group of local students and community members to drink tea. However, this created a problem for Inger. At one point there was no clean tea cup to pour the tea he was preparing. Sensing the situation, the tea-drinking students helped him by washing the cups of tea they drank from.
