The Southern Gas Corridor has contributed to the transformation of the EU’s energy capacities.

According to Day.AzBaroness Emma Nicholson, Trade Envoy of the British Prime Minister for Azerbaijan, told journalists about this.

According to her, the Southern Gas Corridor has transformed energy capacities not only for the EU, but also for Europe.

“We are very fortunate that the UK and Azerbaijan are closely cooperating in the energy sector. In this regard, of course, bp is the main player. It is worth noting that bp has also done a lot of work in the field of green energy,” said the baroness.

She also added that this cooperation is beneficial not only for the UK, but also for a number of EU countries.

Also, Emma Nicholson touched upon cooperation between countries in the development of “green” energy.

“We have also moved forward in the development of renewable energy, as the “traditional” form of energy is no longer accepted in the world. In this regard, we are working very closely with the government of Azerbaijan to further develop the green energy sector,” said Emma Nicholson.
