The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has announced that the Council of Ministers will approve on Tuesday 6 February theincrease in the Interprofessional Minimum Wage (SMI) a 1.134 euros. “Five years ago the SMI was 735 euros a month, today it is 1,080 and next Tuesday we will raise it by 5% to 1,134 euros”, Sánchez said this Saturday at a PSOE meeting in Ourense.

“This is what socialists do, to transform the reality of citizenship,” the Spanish president pointed out. “Before, pensioners, health professionals, women and young people demonstrated because they saw their rights cut. Today, those who cut these rights to the vast majority are demonstrating. This is the big difference,” said Sánchez.
