Severe clashes broke out during Shabbat in Jerusalem between the two factions in Gur Hasidism, against the background of the split in the yard. A number of damaged vehicles were reported to the police even before the beginning of Shabbat. Large forces of the JSM and the Border Police acted to prevent the violence.

Police said yesterday that from the evening hours, intermittent violence had begun among one of the Hasidim in Jerusalem, as a result of an internal conflict.

Police said there were a number of minor casualties as a result of violence between those involved and one policeman who was hit by a stone thrown at him. Police activity continues at the scene.
