/ The Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center rejected the complaint filed by the former head of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Raad Hamoudi, claiming that the procedures taken to dismiss him by the General Assembly in its last extraordinary meeting were illegal.

This was confirmed today by the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Haitham Abdul Hamid, in a statement received by Agency, stating that “the Olympic Committee received an official notification from the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center to reject the lawsuit that Hamoudi had filed following his dismissal.”

The General Assembly had taken a decision to dismiss former President Raad Hamoudi in its extraordinary meeting held on the fifth of December, following legal procedures in accordance with the terms of the internal regulations and Olympic law in force.
