Today, Saturday, the Squash Federation is holding a local tournament at the courts of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Jadriya, which is the first game activity for the year (2024) in preparation for the upcoming external participations.
The head of the Squash Federation, Ali Jihad, told the : “The new year’s curriculum includes many sporting activities, and the first relief will be the organization of a local tournament for various ages and categories with the participation of a wide range of players, which are qualified to represent the national teams in light of the results achieved in preparation for facing the upcoming external challenges.” He expected “To witness an exciting competition among the participants with the aim of winning and securing first place, with the presence of many promising young energies that many look forward to in the future.”
He added, “The competition is a preparatory gateway and an important station for choosing the elements that will be responsible for defending the reputation of our sport externally, indicating that the great demand for participation reflects the breadth of the game’s base, and adds to it competitive importance in the way of preparation and progress towards advancing it on the Arab and continental levels.”
He pointed out that “his federation is very keen to make the mission of our national teams successful by providing all the requirements in order to make their participation successful by preparing internal and external training camps starting next February. There are several preparatory stations to raise the level of our players and prepare them in the best possible way for the upcoming competitions, especially the planned Asian Championship.” Her stay in China in early June.
