Colombo: The Sri Lankan player lost four teeth while catching a back-and-forth. Falcons all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne lost her teeth during the Sri Lankan Premier League match between Kandy Falcons and Galle Gladiators on Wednesday.
The player, who was fielding inside the offside circle, fell on his face while holding the ball backwards. The star could not celebrate even though he got the ball. Seeing blood coming from his mouth, his teammates also did not stop celebrating. Soon the actor was admitted to the hospital.
Kandy Falcons won the match by five wickets. The team management informed that the player who missed the next match will play in the next match. The star, who debuted for Sri Lanka in 2019, has played for the country in all three formats of cricket. He is also a national badminton player.
