The government media team announced today, Wednesday, that advanced rates of completion have been achieved in the Nasiriyah International Stadium project, while indicating that the completion stages are nearing completion.
The spokesman for the government media team, Haider Majeed, told the (INA): “The Nasiriyah International Stadium is one of the most important projects of the Dhi Qar Governorate Reconstruction Fund. It is an architectural, artistic and engineering masterpiece,” indicating that “the completion rate is nearing completion and only the final stages remain to determine the opening day. It is the first stadium to be completed in Iraq before the specified time and without interruptions or delays for two years.”
Majeed added, “The stadium’s capacity is 20,000 spectators and is based on 132 columns, each column weighing 60 tons,” noting that “the stadium’s exterior design is in the shape of a Sumerian letter, in addition to the interior walls being decorated with Sumerian engravings.”
He added, “The stadium contains integrated systems for cooling, heating, sound, and integrated lighting, as well as a fire protection system, as all the stadium’s contents were prepared by six Italian companies.”
He pointed out that “the stadium’s floor is of the same origin as the grass of the world-class Santiago and Sansero stadiums, and it also contains two cabins, one vvip And the other vip A special cabin for media personnel, in addition to electronic gates for spectators to enter, which is the first time they have been used in Iraq, as well as all the contents of the stadium, a total of 536 paragraphs.
