Popular Indian Hindi television actress Divyanka Tripathi was robbed of 1 million rupees (over Tk 14 lakh) worth of items while on a trip to Italy with her husband. Divyanka-Vivek couple’s wallet along with passport was also stolen. They got stuck in the country. Finally, this star couple returned to India from Italy.
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya boarded a flight at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday (July 16), India Today reported. They breathed a sigh of relief as they set foot on Indian soil.
Divank and Vivek posed in front of the reporters’ cameras after landing at the Mumbai airport. Expressing his feelings, Divank Tripathi said, ‘My mind was racing to return home, I was waiting when I would return. Feeling a different kind of calm back.’
How Divank-Vivek returned home? In response to this question Divank said, ‘It is a long story. I will tell you more about this later. But thanks to the Indian Embassy, they have helped a lot.’
Divyanka-Vivek’s belongings were stolen from Florence, Italy. Vivek Dahiya told The Times of India from Italy, ‘We arrived in Florence yesterday (July 10). I planned to stay here one day. Went to see the hotel to stay here. We had all our belongings in the car parked outside. Then I was surprised when I came to take the things. Because the car was broken. All valuables including our passports, wallets, money disappeared. Fortunately, we have some old clothes and food left behind.’
The star couple became helpless after this incident. They urgently want the help of the local police. But the police did not help them much. Because there is no CCTV camera in that area. So the police could not help. Later they contacted the Indian Embassy. Indian Embassy (Italy) issued their Emergency Certificate due to passport theft.
