After six years, one of the most popular pop singers, Billie Eilish, will come to the Czech Republic. He will present his new studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft again on June 1, 2025 in Prague’s O2 Arena. Live Nation announced the concert on Monday. Tickets for a price of 1,250 crowns can be purchased from the Ticketmaster and Ticketportal networks from Friday morning.

Today, the 22-year-old American singer drew attention to herself as a teenager in 2015 with the single Ocean Eyes, which she recorded in her children’s room with her brother Finneas O’Connell.

“A thirteen-year-old girl became a star within a few weeks. She didn’t need it, but immediately she broke through the door to the music industry,” Aktuálně.cz wrote about her. According to him, the singer helped to legitimize the phenomenon of so-called bedroom producers, i.e. young authors who create music in their bedrooms. The intimacy and immediacy of the home environment made a strong impression, especially in their first songs.

With the single, the siblings started a collaboration that has brought them nine Grammy awards to date, several firsts in the world charts and, among other things, lucrative commissions when they composed songs for the Bond film No Time to Die or last year’s film Barbie. They received two more Grammys for this song.

Meanwhile, Finneas became a sought-after producer who launched a solo career. However, Billie Eilish continues to work with him, including on her upcoming third album called Hit Me Hard and Soft, which she will release on May 17.

He will be the first to present it live this fall in the USA, where the concert line will culminate in December. From February 2025, the tour will continue in Australia, after which the singer will have concerts in Europe, including the Czech Republic. She has performed there the only time so far, when she sold out Prague’s O2 arena in February 2019. A complete overview of this year’s dates is available on the website. In addition to Prague, the musician will visit Berlin, Cologne, Krakow or Vienna.

The young artist is particularly famous for her ability to capture in her texts and video clips the divisiveness or anxiety of Generation Z, which is growing up in the world of social media. According to music critic Miloš Hroch, it is a perfect product of the online world, where people rely primarily on themselves thanks to the possibility of sharing. “She controls the language of Internet memes and her music does not stick to a single genre: she grew up on Justin Bieber, but in her voice the melancholy of the singers Lana Del Rey or the sad electropop of the New Zealand wonder Lorde can be heard the most,” the journalist described.
