Baghdad – WAA
Today, Saturday, 5 matches will be held within the competitions of the (38) and final round of the Iraqi Premier League, the most prominent of which is the one between Al-Talaba and its counterpart Zakho at Al-Zawraa Stadium.
The correspondent of the (INA) stated that “Al-Talaba team is looking forward to ending the season in the best possible way by achieving victory and collecting full points, relying on the support of its fans, but its mission will not be easy, as it faces the Zakho team, which aspires to cling to the golden square.”
He added, “The second match will see the Najaf team, which is ranked fifth, meet its counterpart, Al-Mina, hoping that Zakho will stumble in order to rise to fourth place, especially since it is two points behind the northern team. In turn, Al-Saffana aspires to renew its superiority over Ghazlan Al-Badia after winning the first stage by two goals to one.”
He explained that “the Electricity team will be a guest of Basra Oil, seeking to regain the winning streak that has been absent from it for (5) rounds, while the Basra team is counting on the home advantage and the crowd to overcome the Orange team.”
He said, “Al-Shaab International Stadium will be the stage for the confrontation between Amanat Baghdad and Al-Naft, and the capital’s sons are in nineteenth place with (30 points).”
He concluded that “Al-Qasim team will land in Karbala to face its team, in a struggle to remain in the ranks of the senior league, in light of the closeness of points between them, especially since Al-Ameed stands in sixteenth place with (36) points, two points behind the representative of Babylon Governorate who is in (17) place, and therefore the loser will enter the relegation playoffs.”
The curtain falls on the current season with five more matches next Sunday.
