On Thursday, at the Court of Appeal in Casablanca, the first sessions of the appeal trial began for nearly 26 defendants in the file of “falsifying university diplomas and certificates.”

And this gang, led by a user at the International University in the capital, Rabat, called (Samir A.) and other mediators; It is considered the main provider of forged diplomas and educational certificates for the benefit of the beneficiaries issued by the aforementioned university, as its role is evident in the forgery of diplomas and educational certificates mentioned, using the administrative seals attributed to the International Semi-Public University in Rabat, in addition to a master’s degree university diploma, a certificate of success and a statement of points.

Sources indicated that he was using 20 seals attributed to the aforementioned university, the first bearing the phrase Faculté internationale de médecine dentaire, the second bearing the phrase direction de l école superior de l’emenierie et d énergie, and the third bearing the phrase Ecole polytechnique de telecommunication de rabat and some bearing the phrase Rabat. business school, in addition to a box of cardboard papers intended for copies of university diplomas and certificates. These aforementioned fake seals were used by him to forge certificates and diplomas.

In addition, he was impersonating the name (Yusuf pbuh), after he found a national card with the identity of the aforementioned person lying inside the International University of Rabat; He used it to create a prepaid “Floosy” card issued by “Wafacash” in the city of Salé, and he also used it to obtain sums of money in return for selling fake diplomas and educational certificates to those who wanted them, some of which amounted to 9,500 dirhams.

He was working with three people who were considered mediators, called (Ayoub M), (Ayoub Y) and (Muhammad H), who were mediating for his benefit with those who wanted to buy diplomas and educational certificates for money via the social networking site “Facebook”.

The Criminal Chamber of First Instance ruled, against (Samir A), 8 years in prison, while
It ruled against each of (Muhammad H), (Ayoub Y), and (Ayoub M), to five years in prison, in addition to (Ayoub A.), against whom it sentenced to seven years in prison.

On the other hand, the remaining sentences range from two years in prison for the other defendants to 8 months in prison.
