The State Attorney’s Office on Yair Netanyahu’s words: “The words of swallowing and incitement are difficult”

by time news

The Israel State Attorney’s Office issued a statement this evening (Sunday) strongly condemning the words of Yair Netanyahu, the son of the opposition leader, former Prime Minister MK Binyamin Netanyahu, who appeared on the right-wing radio station Gali Israel last week and claimed that senior officials in the State Attorney’s Office and the police betrayed the country because ” Sew cases” to his father, adding that “everyone is welcome to enter the law book of the State of Israel and look at what the punishment for treason is, and it is not prison.” Netanyahu Jr., we note, hinted that in Israel there is a death penalty for treason. Yair Netanyahu claimed that “the criminal offenses they committed Senior officials in the prosecutor’s office and the police by themselves are each worth five years of minimum imprisonment, so we have already reached some 10,000 years of imprisonment for the criminal offenses committed by these people. In addition, there was a malicious coup d’état here, they knew they were impeaching an innocent man who happens to be the prime minister elected by the Israeli people. That is to say, the democratic choice of the Israeli people is annulled, they call it a coup, they call it treason.”

In response to these words, the state attorney’s office announced that “the attorney’s office takes seriously the verbal harassment and attacks – and certainly the physical ones – against members of the law enforcement system, which have escalated in recent times.”
“Unfortunately, in recent days we have once again witnessed harsh words of incitement and incitement, between which there is nothing and half a thing between them and legitimate criticism. The attempt to castigate and relax the hands of the investigators in the Israel Police and the attorneys in the prosecutor’s office, who work night and day in the name of the public and with the aim of protecting it – is bound to fail,” the prosecutor’s office responded And they added: “Last week, another line was crossed, when a defendant physically attacked an attorney in court, during the hearing and in front of the judge. The same is true of the incessant harassment of dedicated public servants, who do their jobs faithfully, and of their families. All of these will not let go of the attorney’s office And the prosecutors, who act out of professional considerations only. The law enforcement system will not shy away from fulfilling its role professionally and honestly. The attempt to attribute political motivation or extraneous considerations to decisions is baseless. Everyone must remember: we have one prosecutor’s office and one police force.” The attorney’s office announced and concluded by saying that “the state attorney’s office will act with all the legal means at its disposal to protect the attorney’s office and state attorneys, their personal safety and their good name.”

Netanyahu Jr. responded by sending a poisoned arrow at the prosecutor’s office and wrote on his Facebook account: “The prosecutor’s office condemns my words? And I condemn people who threaten judges!”. Attached to these words was an excerpt from the words of Judge Asher Kola of the District Court in Nazareth, who hinted at improper pressures on him in the matter of Roman Zdorov’s retrial. Netanyahu did not indicate that the prosecutor’s office requested to stop the trial and demanded that the judge clarify what pressures are involved and who is the party behind them, and the judge rejected this request and ordered the hearing to continue.
