The government submitted to the State Duma a bill to increase the minimum wage (minimum wage) next year to 13,617 rubles. per month. The bill is registered in the electronic database of the lower house.
The bill proposes to set out in a new version of Part 1 of Article 1 of the Federal Law “On the Minimum Wage”, setting the minimum wage from January 1, 2022 at the level of 13,617 rubles. per month. Thus, the minimum wage will grow by 6.4% compared to the established on January 1, 2021 (12,792 rubles per month), follows from the explanatory note.
It notes that the adoption of the bill will help to ensure an increase in wages for about 2.7 million workers. The entry into force of the bill is envisaged from January 1, 2022.
Earlier, the government approved a bill that guarantees the establishment of the minimum wage in Russia in 2022 at a level not lower than the subsistence minimum of the working-age population. That in 2022 the minimum wage will grow by 6.4% compared to 2021 and will amount to 13,617 rubles. in early July, the Ministry of Labor reported.
