In Russia, they proposed to make parking free for three years for new domestic cars. This proposal was made by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Davankov (“New People”).
The deputy’s appeal was sent to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“I ask you to consider the initiative to introduce free parking for three years in all paid parking lots for new domestic cars, the manufacturers of which have a share (contribution) of foreign participation in the authorized (share) capital or the share of voting shares of foreign legal entities or individuals is less than 50%” , – quotes TASS document.
The vice-speaker of the State Duma emphasizes that sales of domestic cars will grow in this way. As a result, it will be necessary to expand production and create new jobs. According to the deputy, in the future his initiative may lead to a decrease in the cost of cars “due to economies of scale.”
In July, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin proposed that all budgetary institutions and authorities should buy domestic cars without fail. On August 3, during a meeting with heads of manufacturing enterprises, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all Russian officials should drive domestically produced cars. After that, Volodin noted that the State Duma supported the proposal of the head of state and would start switching to Russian cars from September, the deputies agreed to use Moskvich, Lada, Aurus, and then Volga cars.
