The state is making a second attempt to change its representative in “Lukoil Neftokhim”. This is clear from the answer of the Acting Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov to a parliamentary question.

The first time was in September, when there was a general meeting of the shareholders of the Burgas refinery. Then it was decided that Tsvetan Tsirkov would replace Boyko Nitsov in the supervision. He is a long-term civil servant, works in the Ministry of Economy.

Subsequently, however, the Registration Agency refused to register Tsirkov as a permanent representative, because the item was not previously included in the agenda of the general assembly.

Malinov now explains that he has sent a letter to the Chairman of the Management Board of Lukoil Neftohim with a request to convene an extraordinary general meeting to make the change.

It is clear from his answer that the proposal has been considered and such a meeting will be held next month.

Boyko Nitsov was elected as the representative of the state in the company in September last year. He replaced Krasimir Parvanov, whose term in the Supervisory Board of the company expired in 2022.

There were seven candidates admitted to participate in the written part of the competition, and besides Nitsov, who was elected in first place, Vasil Chakarov remained in second place.
