/ The Iraq Stock Exchange announced, on Sunday, trading shares worth more than 671 billion dinars during the past year 2023.
According to a market report, reviewed by Agency, 237 trades were held on the shares of joint-stock companies during the past year, which is 0.4% higher than the number of sessions held in 2022.
He added, “The number of shares traded during the past year amounted to 689 billion, 622 million, and 894 thousand shares, with a financial value of 671 billion, 809 million, and 958 thousand dinars.”
The report indicated that “the number of executed contracts reached 155,920 contracts, an increase of 15% over the number of contracts for the year 2022,” noting that “the stock price index closed in its last session at 893 points, compared to the 2022 closing of 585 points, an increase of 52%.”
